LG Just Unveiled a Sleek New Teardrop Trailer With a Hidden Wine Bar – Robb Report

LG wants to elevate your next camping trip.

The electronics behemoth’s experimental Labs division unveiled a sleek new take on the Bon Voyage trailer at CES last week. Launched in 2023, the original was a large, dual-axle mobile home that was deemed a little too big and bulky in user feedback. As a result, the 2024 Bon Voyage has a compact teardrop body that can be easily towed by both small and large vehicles. It is full to the brim with cool features, too.

Measuring 6.6 feet wide by 12.5 feet long by 7.2 feet high, the newcomer showcases a simple black-and-white color scheme and a streamlined silhouette akin to, say, the Polydrops P19 Shorty.  At the rear, a lift-gate and drop-down tailgate provides campers with easy access to all within. The trailer is also fitted with full side door if you’d prefer to enter that way.

The interior can be filled with your choice of furniture and appliances, according to LG. This includes essentials like a bed, refrigerator, electric stove, and water purifier. LG added that you could even install the company’s clothes-steaming Styler and shoe care products to create a sense of luxury in the wilderness. In a similar vein, the trailer appears to have a bar at the rear, with the tailgate doubling as a bartop.

LG didn’t share any info about power requirements, but all the amenities it has outlined could run on electricity. As such, the Bon Voyage could be plugged into a battery and operate off-grid. It could also plug directly into an EV with power outlet, meaning the tow vehicle could double as a energy source.

In addition to the new trailer, LG unveiled several other innovative products, including its first see-through TV, a modernized DukeBox that combines vacuum tube audio with OLED technology, and a capsule coffee machine inspired by space exploration.

In terms of other new camping companions, Pebble presented an all-electric trailer called the Pebble Flow at this year’s trade show. AC Future also unveiled a futuristic RV concept created in partnership with Pininfarina.

LG’s updated Bon Voyage trailer does not yet have a release date, but there are plenty of other top-notch trailers on the market.
